As we wait through an extended Winter on the West Coast of Canada, I wanted to finally publish a post from last Spring’s Abbotsford Tulip Festival. The festival is located about an hour’s drive east of Vancouver, just off of the Trans-Canada Highway in the Fraser Valley. 2016 was its inaugural season and the organizers and gardeners did a brilliant job with densely planted fields of many varieties of tulips. It rained on two of the three occasions that I visited but I didn’t mind. The tulips were beautiful and lush. I love taking photos of flowers with natural raindrops which is the theme here. Please join me on Tulips in the Rain at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival.

I don’t have the names for all the varieties of tulips but if you know of any that I missed, please leave a comment below.

I believe this pretty one is Miss Elegance.

After the death of his mother, he chose to walk the famous pilgrimage, the Camino de Santiago, across the north of Spain, despite knowing little about it. He certainly didn’t plan to write a book until the latter days of his Camino. Similar to walking the Camino, writing and publishing a book was a learning experience. It was also very rewarding, and part of his ongoing journey. Please join him as he takes you along on his journey in Camino de Santiago In 20 Days, and on his blog Camino My Way.
