As Winter dragged on, there was a time I wondered if we would ever see Spring on the West Coast of Canada. Luckily, toward the middle of the March, the signs were there, about a month late. Seeing the first crocuses brought tears to my eyes and if they were’t so tiny and delicate, I would have given them a hug. You’ll see some crocuses here so please join me on a selection of my photos and videos posted to social media in March.

The New Year started off with a dump of snow in Vancouver and that would be the theme for much of January. The atmospheric stream that brought much-needed precipitation to California continued to travel up the West Coast and brought us more than we needed. Coupled with the politics in the United States, it was a stormy month indeed. Despite the title of this post, you can find a little brightness here. This is a selection of my photos posted to social media in January.

What a year! 2016 will be not easily be forgotten, especially with American politics. And the craziness is not over yet! Anyway, don’t worry, there aren’t any photos of President Trump in this post. This is a selection of my photos posted to social media in December.

As November arrived to Vancouver, Canada, so did the wet weather as it rained for most of the days. Luckily, we had a little sunshine and it’s needed sometimes to brighten one’s spirits between the periods of gloomy weather. If your spirit’s need brightening, there is a lot of brightness here. This is a selection of my photos from Spring, Summer, and Autumn posted to social media in November.

I am taking advantage of being cooped up during a snow storm in Vancouver to catch up on my blog. I’ll publish photos of snowy scenes here later, but in the meantime, this is a selection of my photos posted to social media during the month of October.

I don’t remember a recent Summer on the West Coast of Canada as unsettled as the one of 2016. Well, the Autumn didn’t start off much better but we were lucky to get the odd day or even stretch of sunny weather. I took advantage of the more pleasant days with walks, short hikes, and visits to various gardens. If you like dahlias, there are many on this post, as I visited the gardens of Ferncliff on three occasions. These are my photos of the week posted to social media in September.

A whole lot of Summer colour and a touch of Autumn too…
