I love Summer but don’t enjoy the heat. Usually July is the warmest month in Vancouver but this year was very unsettled, rainy and cool. Good thing there were pleasant days in between the not-so-pleasant ones and I could get outdoors with my camera. These are my photos of the month posted to social media in July.
Here’s some Summer brightness from early July…

Who knows the name of this rose?
I would really appreciate knowing because it had a most beautiful scent. Taken at Oak Meadows Park in Vancouver.

What Am I Listening to?
Thanks for asking 🙂 Although I don’t like wasting time, there are instances, usually with the right company, that it can be the most rewarding in terms of joy and memories. Then, time is not wasted. Okay, I’ll shut up now. A great song for Summer, this is Keith Urban and Wasted Time.
A lupin outside of VanDusen Botanical Garden.
How many Monarch Butterflies do you see?
So lucky for this moment at Krause Berry Farms.
Monarch Butterfly loving the Liatris or blazing star at Krause Berry Farms.
Here are two videos from Instagram that I posted from my visit to Krause Berry Farms. This would be the day after the annual Monarch Butterfly Release.

Looking back to a sunny day in the rose garden at Stanley Park.
I had looked at the Westminster Abbey church from the the town of Mission, Canada for years and thought one day, I’ll drive up there. Recently, I finally did. The church is not ancient, but if you’re in the area, it’s certainly worth a visit! Make sure you walk the short distance to the viewpoint with views of the Fraser River and Valley.
The blazing sunset over Vancouver from my perch above Guildford in Surrey.
A look back to this past Spring and tulips in the sky at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival, east of Vancouver.
After a long break, it’s so nice to be hiking again. This is me on Eagle Bluffs 🙂
Yes, that was another long post. Maybe I’ll go back to weekly posts for the Fall and Winter. I’m still thinking about it. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and I wish you an amazing month of September. Peace to you!
